Hi Ruby--

    I made it back to Texas and already miss being at The Fowler House.  What a great place it is!  I just wanted to take a minute to thank you and your family for making it available to us -- we couldn't have been happier.  I don't think in all my travels I have ever found a house of that vintage whose floorboards don't squeak with every step -- but the Fowler House doesn't.  Not a single squeak in any room, especially when you're up early with coffee and trying to ease out on that great front porch without waking anybody!  Whoever put it together certainly knew what they were doing. The food you had for us, the supplies -- everything was wonderful.  My sisters mentioned something that you might think about:  at the sink in both bathrooms, there needs to be a hook or something to hang the hand-towel on.  It's not a big deal, and we simply laid them on the counter until we could throw them over the shower stall to dry.  I'm really going to miss those inviting rockers on the porch and in the living room. We had lots of family visiting while we were there, and everybody was completely taken by the place.  It's really wonderful, and we hope you'll make

it available for a return visit this fall.  As soon as I get my fall schedule lined up and can find another five or six days (are there special rates for a full week?), I'll definitely be in touch and hope we can send reservations

probably sometimes in October if there's an opening.  In the meantime, thanks again for making our trip such a genuine pleasure.

Our six day here have been nothing short of wonderful.  From the big welcoming front porch with the swing and rockers to the richly-stocked refrigerator, we loved every minute of it.  With many thanks to Ruby and her great family, we are looking forward to a return visit this fall. What a pleasure!
