A STORY

Two farmers that some might remember are Mr. Price Turnage and Mr. Phil Williams that farmed together. They talked to each other liked they were about to have a fight maybe a killing fight. One morning a salesman that sold single items like dishes, clothes etc. was at my Dad’s store and they were going at it something awful. This salesman began to look at them in a nervous way off and on and finally said to my father “man those fellows are really mad”, my Dad told him they had been at each other for a long time and this might be the time one tries to kill the other” . The salesman turned kind of white and told my Dad He would call on him another day.

About a year later I was home from College and asked if that salesman ever came by. My Dad said no and he didn’t expect He ever would.
