TWO GUN

This is how a good friend of mine got the name “Two Gun”.  More about this real good friend later from as early as I can remember until now.  The only trouble is I cannot go see him because I don’t know where he moved to.

His aunt taught civics and one day was explaining how the settlers just governed themselves by the use of electing a town marshal and lived by the ‘six’gun. The heartiest survived and the others, well they got by if they were lucky.  From that day on L.R.Hatton was known as “two gun” and it might have been better to live that way.

L.R. and I used to seine the road ditches and get as many crawfish as we could and get Mrs. Hatton to fry them for us.  We peeled the tails first of course. Later on in life we found the proper way to eat crawfish and we liked our method best.

One time Mr. peel the Principal had us in he office. The flying school at Monroe was very busy that day and L.R. asked Mr. peel if we might be bombed by some country.  Mr. Peel replied, no I don’t think so, but nothing is to keep me from bombing you and Charles.  And He surely did just that.

More about Liddieville caring ons later.
