PRESIDENTS:

President Reagan was the only President this country has had that won a war that reshaped a large part of the world along with the way the rest of the world thought without firing a shot in that war. The war was the Cold War with Russia and the rest of the communist world. Sure President Kennedy stopped the Russians from putting missiles in Cuba but it did not do anything to stop the Cold War itself.

Mr. Reagan told some close friends he intended to run for President, get elected, and force the Russians to break up the Union of Soviet Republics. He was going to do this with economics and military build up. He had a hard time getting European Countries that we had saved in WW Two plus some other so called allies to help him. He used the Polish revolt, which Russia had devised to help it keep from invading that country, by getting America to assist the Polish in their revolt. The Soviets needed loans to build a pipeline to carry gas to various sites and Reagan wanted to block these loans. Allies and some on His Staff were opposed to this for various reasons. The main one was the Russians were using an atomic war over the worlds head. Mr, Reagan began telling the Russian leaders the USA had a better economy than Russia and would bankrupt their country. Star Wars, a myth concocted by Mr. Reagan for the Russian leadership that was supposed to keep secret is probably the straw that broke the Camels back and caused the wall to come down and the fellow to stick his hand in the Gun Barrel and that broke the Armies will to fight and Mr. Reagan had won the Cold War. Mr. Bush had been elected then but President Reagan was the real winner. A lot of readers will not know this but instead will remember when he had Dementia so serious that he only wanted to rake leaves out of the swimming pool so the secret service detail assigned to Him after retirement would throw them back so He could rake them out again.
