THIS CAN BE CALLED NEW WRITINGS OR CURRENT EVENTS

The state of Louisiana has elected a new Governor and a partially new Legislature due to a loop hole in he term limit law and now it remains to be seen if all these “clean ups” are really going to take place. Jindal has gone out of State to get some people for His Cabinet as He calls them. I call them lackeys. I hope I am wrong. I hope I am wrong and if his first session is to His liking and ethics comes around in bucket fulls and Louisiana will be considered the most ethical state in the Nation. That would be some kind of change. If there is much change I predict it will be toward big business.

The Feds are in the process of finding ways to clean up the mess in Washington. There seems to be a mess at every Government level. Police Juries, most School Boards and City Governments are having clean up problems. Louisiana kicks of Monday Jan. 14. After that come other government groups. We will soon know at least the tone of our next four years and can judge future “clean up action” based on that.

Education is the first that needs straighten out. But most State Governors want the Feds to come and build a State School System for them. It is not in the works, the Federal Government does not have the constitutional authority to do it or the money. If you don’t educate first, the Nation has nothing to build with. And even though the High School is not intended to prepare all chidden to go to college that was the first mistake Louisiana made when ole “slick nickel” dismantled one of the best financed and best academic high school systems in the county all just to get elected. What a mistake the Parish Superintendents made letting that happen.
