This reflection is a little political in flavor but it ONLY MY flavor. I am not trying to get anyone to feel or pay as I do.
I got a large filled envelope the other day with a message about the fire district. DO NOT expect any more money from me unless a few things are done in the accountability mode. No. 1. Who (name) and don’t holler (private) it doesn’t apply paid and how much they paid.
No. 2. Who did not pay and how much do they owe. No. 3. The total amount raised and where every penny was spent. Last but not least who or what firm audited the districts funds. I am sure Ole Buddy Caldwell would be glad to issue guidelines to follow if the District needs some. I cannot believe the good people of Franklin Parish are so dumb as to give their money without some accountability attached. That “Fee” is a lot when converted to a mileage.
