Being 77 years old and having voted for 56 of those years I have decided to do what I did after working in education for 35 years to retire from voting. There are many reasons for this idea one being that politicians on all levels lie. I have thought it over and a simple letter to the editor would not allow enough words in a letter to the editor to list and justify the reasons for such an action. I pondered the situation and decided that the best way to get the story across was to use the lddieville.com web site. So if any one would like to know the reasons for my actions I would suggest using liddieville.com for a breakdown of the reasons. I intend to discuss local, state and national governments. The information will be on my page on the web site under government. So you can see I could not cover all levels in a letter and there will be information that the newspaper might insist I pay for ad. Space. This little note is 228 words so you can see the reason for using liddievillie.com.
I have thought long and hard about the above Letter To The Editor. Several things entered my mind such as what if some close relative ran for some office and I really wanted to vote for or against them? No one has ever offered to buy my vote like some one passed out five-dollar checks for a vote one time and since I was voting for Him anyway I missed out on the money. If I keep a closed mouth about whom I was voting for some one might offer me some money to vote for them. It has become a hard decision to make. If someone out there has a suggestion let me have it, other wise I am leaning to voting part time.
