MONEY MACHINE

Some politicians seem to think that most taxpayers are money machines the way they just want to tax and spend. The spenders want the people to thing that if their town or Parish gets a grant from the State or Federal government the money does not in some way either directly or indirectly come from a taxpayer or taxpayers. If some Mayor announces “His City” received a grant it must have come from a money machine. Maybe a little story about the six-year-old only child that wanted every thing in sight might be in order. Every toy, pretty piece of clothing, and about everything else imaginable the child asked for. One day the Father told the Mother something must be done or the child was going to be ruined by the time it became a grown up. So, every time the child wanted something the father would reply “no, you think I have a money machine at the office”. One day the child was at Fathers office and the child kept wandering around looking confused and the Father asked what was the child looking for. The child replied, “Where is the money machine you keep talking about”? Maybe it is about time to ask the tax and spenders the same question. Ask with the vote.
