Whys and Wonderments 9/24/07
I need help with
some whys and wonderments. Maybe readers
can help me. I wonder if people realize
if their auto is getting fifteen miles to the gallon they spend 34 cents in gas
tax each fifteen miles they travel. 150
miles equal $ 3.40. Truckers spend a lot
of use tax as they travel the roads of the State of Louisiana.
I wonder about road conditions. I
wonder why people don’t vote. Less than
fifty percent of voters usually vote. In a two-person election it only takes one
more vote than twenty five percent to win. If eighty percent voted what would
happen. Pollsters, Politicians, Media, and entrenched Bureaucrats don’t like
large voter turnouts. I wonder if they
would react like blind dogs in a meat house, go into a state of shock and
collapse in a pile in the chitlin room? There really is no reason for not voting,
just a lot of excuses. That leads me to another wonderment. People do not inform themselves. A small percent read the newspapers and most
just read a favorite part. A few watches the news and some believe everything
they hear. Why do people believe in each educational reform program the
politicians come up with? Thank God
Teachers teach children in spite of politicians. Education, Home, and Religion
make America
the greatest Nation. That’s why thousands sneak into our Country each day. Some
are drug folks and killers. Wonder why
the Government don’t stop them?
