CONSTITUTION MEANS WHAT?

Politicians and news people are always referring to something being constitutional. I guess it’s just the way it is interpreted and by who is reading it at that particular time whether the reader says it is constitutional. Playing poker in a private home using money as a means to make the game complete was always considered unlawful gambling and the Judge would hand down a stiff sentence in the courtroom on the people arrested. Then people with big money meet with certain politicians and decided that if the game of Poker was played under certain government rules and such Tommy Rot gambling of all sorts would be legally referred to as gaming and would be not in violation of the constitution and would be legal. I do not know what is violated with reference to speed laws. The law in Louisiana is plainly posted as 70 MPH. on the interstate, however get on the crowded roadway and drive the speed limit and cars and trucks will pass you so fast you want even be able to tell the color of the vehicle. I am almost positive the constitution gives the department of Public Safety or what ever it is called today the right to set and enforce the laws. I observed some State Troopers with a sign reading insurance check. I guess if some one would pass going fast enough to blow them off the road or turn over the sign the speeder would have been stopped. A trooper stopped me there one day and He was giving out warning tickets to speeders. My speedometer must have been wrong because it was set by the speed control on the exact posted speed limit.

The same rules must apply to the U.S. constitution. An elected politician will accuse another of violating the constitution but nothing is ever done about it. The word education is now mentioned in the constitution but thee Federal Government has about taken it over with the idea it’s for the good of the public for the Feds. to run the schools. If you don’t believe they are running the public schools let one not follow a Federal rule and they will cut off the Federal Funds and that would just about shut down most State supported schools. The school people would start such a crying binge that the public would join in and the violated rule would be brought into legal status in a “New York minute”. There are many other constitutional violations but you can find them by just reading at the public library on their computer or maybe even in print in a book on the State Government or Federal Government.
